If 50 Cent and Milow have you thinking that “Ayo technology” is a synonym for porn, let me tell you this: It’s not. “Ayo” is an exclamation that is quite prominent in Asian countries, where it’s the equivalent of “Oy vey!” or “come on!” to signify that something is irritating.

I don’t mind sharing, usually, but the image leeching that this site has been going through during the last couple of months has gotten a little out of hand. MySpace and Kwick.de users (I had never even heard of the latter community, and upon brief inspection it looks pretty shitty if I may be so frank) have been especially fond of the Shane for Hugo Boss underwear pics, so much in fact that one of these images amounted to nearly 1,000 hits a day!
I simply had to put a stop to this because I do pay for my webspace and traffic after all. Hotlinking from these sites therefore is blocked, as of last Friday. I don’t mind the occasional link from a forum or blog, but would obviously prefer it if people could upload them to their own server, or make use of the many free alternatives such as Photobucket, ImageShack or Picasa.
As for the underwear picture, I briefly considered taking the humorous route and replace Shane with someone else in underwear, LOL. But let’s face it, when it comes to so-called Switcheroos, nothing can beat this one (NSFW). Which is why a pretty tame image will inform you that hotlinking is bad form. For now. 
I was cleaning up my hard drive when I found this screenshot that I took a while ago. It’s taken from the agency website of Cass Bird. I admire Cass Bird – she is my favourite photographer, and judging by the “Two minutes with…” videos on the former website, she’s a really funny and cool person to boot.
As a result, I constantly peruse the two websites posted above to check if any new photographs have been added, and this one kind of struck me. Could it show Jorja Fox surfing? I know that she does surf, and the face really resembles hers, but it’s the bikini that I’m not so sure about. I don’t know, she just does not strike me as the sort of person who would wear a zebra stripes-patterned bikini. Plus, has her hair ever been that long? I’m confused. What do you think?

And while noone really needs my praise, there is one blogger who is so cutting edge that he manages to update his blog multiple times a day, even though he must have a gazillion other things to do. Sounds like sarcasm, but I really do admire this kind of dedication. Mr. Kanye West himself just knighted Samantha Ronson “fresh kid”. He also has five (!) pages of pictures. With the words of the Internet: WTF? Here’s another good one. I guess I’m finally starting to see it, but I still haven’t heard any of her stuff. Apparently she’s DJing at the Roxy in Los Angeles tonight, if you’re in the area.
I took this earlier today. Not only did the guy not have any qualms about flaunting the lady on his wallpaper, he also visited pr0n sites and downloaded stuff from Rapidshare while I was rather innocently sipping my Chai Latte with soy milk. My next mobile phone will hopefully come with WLAN and an email client so I can tattle people like him right away
IAMX performs “Spit It Out” live in Williamsburg (NYC), gets shut down by Cops (The Village Voice)
I saw IAMX live last year and it was an extremely hypnotic, almost ecstatic show. Chris Corner’s dark intensity transcends well in the video above – even in broad-ish daylight. On a sidenote, I have been to that exact Williamsburg corner where the video was shot. And I was just thinking today that I would gladly give up everything here just to live in a shabby broom closet in Brooklyn!
Also, props to Russell Brand for ripping on the Jonas Brothers all night. Those little promise ring-wearing shits deserved it.
I was reading the Freeware Friday: Anti-Productivity Edition entry on MacApper last night when one of the featured applications caught my eye: iStache lets you add mustaches to pictures – just the sort of brainless fun I enjoy, so I downloaded it.
